Obituary of George Edward Alexander
It is with sadness that the family of George Edward Alexander of Saint John, loving husband of Patricia (Tubbs) Flinn-Alexander, announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his home. Born on December 1, 1944 in Nashwaak Bridge, he was a son of the late George and Edith (Taber) Alexander.
Prior to his retirement, George was employed as an Orderly at both the Saint John Regional Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He enjoyed watching hockey, was a loyal Toronto Blue Jays fan and always looked forward to going to the Casino. George also enjoyed travelling, and together with Patricia, shared many adventures and created wonderful memories. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, George will be forever lovingly remembered by his step-children, Tina Flinn (Jeff), Juanita Noel and Mark Flinn (Julie); grandchildren, Andrew Noel (Renate), Aaron Craig (Ryan), Connor Flinn (Katelyn), Dani Flinn and Kathleen Wudrick; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Parker Craig and Damien Flinn; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur Alexander and James Alexander and his sister, Catherine McEwen.
In keeping with George’s wishes, no visitation or service will take place. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
