George Allen Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family of George Allen announce his passing which occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on November 20, 2024. Born on November 30, 1937, in Saint John, he was the son of Coleman & Helen (Doyle) Allen. George was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years Joan (Porter) Allen.
George is survived by his children Kevin Allen (Darlene) of Brampton, ON and Lisa Smith (Jim) of Rothesay, NB; precious grandchildren Connor Smith, Sarah Allen and Jillian Smith; nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents and his wife, George was also predeceased by his infant daughter Susan Allen.
George worked most of his career at Canada Post and was an active member of The Lion’s Club, Shriners and volunteered at many organizations including the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick.
Arrangements are under the care of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1 – 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th, 2024 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
