David “Ricky” Rolfe Obituary
With heavy hearts and great sadness, the family of David “Ricky” Newman Rolfe announce his passing on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the best friend, and companion of Linda Scott, and her dog Maggie. They will both miss him dearly. He will also be sadly missed by his chosen family Leeann (Tim) Donovan and their children: Emily, Chloe, and Josh. Colin (Kerri) Scott and their family, as well as Paul (Angie) Scott and their family.
David is survived by his sisters Gail (Derrick) Trites, Carol Anne (Richard) Rolfe, his nieces Deborah (Rodney) Hobbs, Tanya Barnes, Krista (Mike) Fedorko and cousins too numerous to mention.
David, is predeceased by his late wife Audrey Rolfe. His parents Ruby Victoriene and David Henry Rolfe, brother Johnny, and sister Sharron Barnes.
Many thanks go out Linda and Leeann for all their care and compassion. As well a very special thank you goes out to the staff of the Ridgewood Veterans Wing for all of the care and compassion they have given David over his time in residence.
David, proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1966 to 1988. After his time in the RCAF, David began his career with the Commissionaires of Canada, taking a post and becoming a regular fixture at the Canadian Coast Guard base formally located on Water Street in Saint John where he could be found sharing countless laugh’s and stories from his many adventures.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Following David’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date. Donations to the Diabetes Association of Canada or the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
