It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of Timothy Thomas “Bucky”
Buchanan, 64, of Moncton, NB, at the Moncton
Hospital on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late
Walter and Anita (Lirette) Buchanan.
Tim grew up in St. Catharines, ON, and had a
successful career in the hospitality industry making very close
friendships that were like family to him, many of whom he kept close
contact with upon retirement. His family decided to move to
Moncton and closer to his siblings and relatives. After fighting the good fight
and beating cancer on three previous occasions, he lost the final
battle to this terrible disease. Throughout his illness he
always maintained a positive attitude, never revealing his pain and
suffering.
Tim will be dearly missed by his loving wife and
best friend, Kelly; his adored son, Michael; sister, Carol (Ed)
Morneau; brothers, Bill (Sonia), Rick (Helen), and Terry (Rosa);
brothers-in-law, Rick (Joanne) and Danny (Sue) Chetyrbuk, as well as
many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tim’s family wishes to extend their deepest
gratitude to Extra-Mural Staff, especially Holly, all of The OR Staff
of the Moncton Hospital, and Joan (our Earth Angel) and Brian Peddle
for their exceptional care and support.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street,
Sackville, (506-364-1300). Honouring Tim’s wishes,
cremation has taken place and there is to be a private graveside
service in the Holy Rosary and St. Vincent Ferrier Cemetery, Middle
Sackville, NB.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation
in Tim’s memory may do so to the Moncton Hospital OR
Department.
