On Saturday, June 1, 2024,
Pauline Madelyn Hicks, age 94, of
Sackville, passed away peacefully and has gone to meet her Lord and
Saviour, and be reunited with her husband Blaine and son
Brian.
Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of
the late Everett and Viola (Mitton) Hicks.
Pauline graduated from Sackville High
School and Mount Allison Commercial College, then went on to work for
Atlantic Wholesalers for 44 years. After accepting the Lord
Jesus as her saviour in 1976, she became an active member at Main
Street Baptist Church, helping with Awana, acting as Teller, Greeter,
Finance and assistant Financial Secretary, and was active for 35 years
in the St. John Ambulance. She completed the EMT Course in
1996. A loving wife, she worked closely with her husband
Blaine for his many years in the Boy Scout Movement.
She is survived by several nieces,
nephews, cousins and a close church family.
She was predeceased by her husband
Blaine; her Infant son Brian Perry; sister Phyllis (Paul) Blakney;
brothers Victor (Olive) and Kenneth C. (Viola) Hicks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St.,
Sackville, NB. On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, her visiting hours
will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of her funeral service at 2
PM, all from Main Street Baptist Church, Pastor Andrew Swanson
officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville
Cemetery, after which all are invited to share a light lunch in the
church hall.
Donations in Pauline’s memory may be
given to the Main Street Baptist Church, the IWK Hospital, or a
charity of your choice.
