It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Henry Hol, age 70, of Port
Elgin, NB; formerly of the Niagara Region, ON. Henry passed
away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB, on Wednesday,
May 15, 2024 with his family by his side.
Born in Kingston, ON, he was a son of
the late Gilbert and Wilhemina (Wesselo) Hol.
Henry loved to travel, whether an
afternoon drive with a stop at Tim Horton’s, or a cross
country road trip. He took pride in his work within the
poultry industry. He loved being outdoors working in his
gardens, watching the birds, going for walks or helping others. Above
all else was his family and spending time with them, usually over a
cup of coffee.
He will be dearly missed by his wife
Minnie (Heykoop), Port Elgin, NB; children Angela (Joe) Korstanje,
Beamsville, ON, Jocelyn (Eric) Fournier, Fort Erie, ON; Adrienne Hol
(David Reed), Ancaster, ON, Matthew (Amanda) Hol, Aulac, NB, Stacey
Hol, Hamilton, ON; grandchildren, Anthonie, Josh, Henry, Emily,
Gerald, Rachel, Riley, and Sarah; sister Rita Hol, Abilene, TX, as
well as his many In-laws, nieces, nephews and close
friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted with
the Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin
Chapel, 3 West Main St (506-364-1300). In keeping with
Henry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will
take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 1 until 2 pm, followed
immediately at 2 pm by his funeral service, Wayne Jarvis
officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held in
Ontario Saturday May 25, 2024.
Donations in memory of Henry may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
