Donald Stewart of Dieppe, NB passed away peacefully at the
Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 following numerous health
issues over the past six months. Don was a man of faith and knew that
being absent from his family meant being present with his Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ and reuniting with loved ones already
there.
Born in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the Late James and
Phyllis (Surety) Stewart. Throughout his life, he spent most of it
working with his Dad and Brothers for Waste Management Services in
Ontario and then in Maintenance at Peel District School Board before
he retired. He loved the slower pace of life that New Brunswick
offered him during his retirement years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Millie; daughters Debbie
Stewart (Kevin) of Ontario; and Leslie Kerr (Raymond) of BC; brothers
Ralph Stewart and Tom Stewart, both of Ontario; as well as sister
Laurie Alexander of Alabama. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren
Melissa Mainella (Matthew); Andrea Richards (Kyle); Devon Kerr
(Emily); Lauren Kerr-Skapski (MacKenzie); and Great-grandchildren
Lochlan, Hayden, Lilia and Lakelyn. He is also survived by many nieces
and nephews.
Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by one of his
older brothers, Ken Stewart.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation or memorial service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview
(506-869-2007).
Donations may be made in Don’s memory to a
registered charity of your choice.
