Emile Henri Daigle
1947-2024
ALDOUANE, NB – Emile Daigle, 77, of Aldouane passed
away at home on Sunday, September 15, 2024 due to complications of
Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the
late Eloi Daigle and Lorenza (Robichaud) Daigle.
Emile was a very social, helpful and funny man. He was an
amazing father and grandfather. He had a kind soul and was appreciated
by everyone. He worked for 29 years for the school
board and finished his career as head janitor of MFR high school. He
also occupied a few positions within his local CUPE
union.
Emile was an avid guitar player and loved to entertain with
his rock and roll tunes in events and clubs. He was also
very present in his community, being a member of the Knights Columbus
and as a leader of marriage encounter (vivre et aimer) with his wife
for over 3 decades.
Emile leaves to mourn his loving wife of 55 years, Melina
(Boucher) Daigle; his two sons, Serge Daigle and Stephane Daigle
(Nadine Daigle) all of; his daughter Renee Daigle-Cyr (Louis
Pelletier) all of Aldouane; as well as his grandsons, Mathieu Daigle,
Julien Daigle; two-step granddaughters, Emma Roach, Alyssa Daigle and
a step-great granddaughter Madisson Brun.
Emile will also be sadly missed by his two sisters,
Marguerite Richard (Maurice) and Pauline Ayer (Robert); four brothers,
Alvin Daigle (late Yolande McCaie), Louis Daigle (Marina Robichaud),
Vincent Daigle (Rose-Mai Johnson) and Jean-Paul Daigle (Anne-Marie
Thibodeau), all of Aldouane; sister-in-law,Rita Chavarie of
Sant-Charles as well as by his many nieces, nephews and in-laws from
the Boucher family.
Besides his parents, Emile was predeceased by his sister,
Jacqueline Daigle, his brother Arthur Daigle and his newborn twin
sons, Denis and Daniel.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday beginning
at 9:00 am until time of the service. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Louis de
Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto.
