Howard Johnson
1952-2023
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Howard Ivan Johnson of
Tobique First Nation, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St.
Joseph Hospital on October 2, 2023.
Howard was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on July 20, 1952. He was the son
of the late Ivan and Luella (Fitzherbert) Johnson. Howard leaves
behind his daughters, Candace Johnson (Marcel Godbout) of Quaker
Brook, NB, Tabatha Cormier (Mikki) of Moncton, NB; his grandchildren,
Annabella, Anthony, Gavin, Gweny, Landon, Lavender, Ava, Dylan, and
Jakob; his sisters, Ellen Johnson of Fredericton, NB, Wendy Skinner
(Peter) of Arthurette, NB, Jolene Johnson (Brian Everett) of Morrell
Siding, NB; his brothers, Stephen Johnson (Karen) and Gregory Johnson,
both of Quispamsis; along with several nieces and nephews.
Howard was a carpenter by trade. In 2012, he went to work for the
Tobique Fisheries which turnout to be his dream job because of his
love on being on the river. Howard was also a musician and enjoyed
playing his guitar and singing. He had a love for woodworking, flags,
and most of all, was a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He also had a
great sense of humor.
Respecting Howard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
held.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
