1958-2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Simpson of Wapske,
NB, announce his sudden passing at the Grand Falls General Hospital on
the morning of December 28, 2024.
David was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on July 1, 1958. He was the son of
Kip and Joyce (Pangburn) Simpson of Wapske, NB. Besides his parents,
David leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Julie Simpson
(Levesque); his son, Andrew Simpson (Maggie) of New Denmark, NB; his
daughters, Andrea Richards (Isaiah) of Saint John, NB, and Christie
Simpson (Dan McAskill) of Wapske, NB; his grandchildren, Jackson,
Seth, Allie, and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Samuel and Ryker;
his siblings, Shelly Levesque (Ernest) of Wapske, NB, Rick Levesque
(France) of Wapske, NB, Eric Levesque of Plaster Rock, NB, Jeffrey
Levesque of Saint John, NB, Charlotte George (Richard) of Plaster
Rock, NB, Laurie Daye (Shawn) of New Denmark, NB, Mitchell Simpson of
St. Almo, NB, Cheryl Parish (Keith) of St. Almo, NB, and Kelly Simpson
of St. Almo, NB; his aunt, Violet Deleavey; his uncles, Allen Pangburn
and Randy Simpson; along with many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his grandparents, Norman and Alberta
Pangburn, and Alex and Sylvia Simpson; his parents-in-law, Clifford
and Avis Levesque; his infant brother, Kip Simpson Jr.; his nephews,
Michael Levesque and Jordan Agnew; his niece, Kiara Agnew; and his
best friend and fishing buddy, Edgar Bourgoin.
Respecting David’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or
funeral held. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later
date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian National
Institute for the Blind or the Easter Seals would be appreciated by
the family.
David’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the
doctors and nurses of the Saint John Dialysis Unit, Dr. David Bell and
Pam Shoemaker, Dr. Hennessey of Fredericton, NB, and Kelly Pugh,
David’s home care support worker, for the care given to him over the
years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
