Ethel Marie Piercy
1934-2024
Ethel Marie Piercy of York Mills, NB passed away on November 20, 2024
at Wauklehegan Manor. She was born on November 17, 1934 at Harvey,
NB, a daughter of the late Berton and Amy (Simmons) Fraser.
Ethel was the love of her family. She loved music and learned guitar
at an early age, but her passion was the fiddle. Ethel enjoyed many
great get-togethers with friends at the York Mills Hall and Upper
Kingsclear Jam. Another interest of hers was photography.
She is survived by her children, Gwen Hood (Danny), Cheri Prieur (Moe)
and Mark Piercy (Sharon); three grandchildren, Jonathan Hood, Jaimie
Marchand (Brett) and Samantha Perks (Mike); five great grandchildren,
Jordan, Brody, Dominic, Nora and Jackson; her siblings, Evelyn Munn,
June Howe, Robert Storey and Charles Lovelace; several nieces and
nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Royden Piercy; a
granddaughter Heather Hood; a brother Roy Fraser (late Pauline) and a
sister Mary Munn (late Charlie).
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3,
Harvey Station, NB on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 12 noon until 2
pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. George Clark
officiating. Private interment at Acton Cemetery.
