Violet Sivret Obituary
Violet Sivret, (87) passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, February 9, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Atholville NB, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Regina (Scott) Thibodeau.
Violet’s passing leaves a large void in the family. She was the matriarch and lovingly nicknamed the “mother ship”. Her family meant everything to her and she cherished each visit and moment with them. This included her little fur “grand baby”, TJ, who she loved dearly. With her family is where she was most content.
Known for her sharp wit and wealth of stories, Violet was always the life of the party. She enjoyed a good glass of wine and maybe a dance or two. She loved having fun and enjoying life to its fullest. She always had a smile on her face and loved making others smile too.
She loved travelling. While in later years, travel involved smaller road trips (which she loved). She has been to Hawaii, Bahamas, Mexico and Dominican Republic, just to name a few. Many of these trips were with her long time friend, Agnes Firth. They were joined at the hip and were always up to something….there were many stories to tell.
She loved life and all it had to offer. For her family left behind, life will never be the same. She was truly one of a kind, in every sense of the word.
When asked how she wants to be remembered, the answer was simple: As a happy and loving free spirit.
Violet is survived by her son Joseph William Sivret (Greg), daughter Pamela Wright (William Sr.), grandchildren William Wright Jr., Lisa Wright, Kyle Sivret, Corey Sivret and Dennis Sivret Jr., and many great grandchildren, brother Billy Thibodeau (Jeannine).
Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by sons Eddie Sivret and Dennis Sivret, grandson Eddie Sivret Jr., siblings Leslie, Lorna and Boyd.
In honoring Violet’s wishes services will be held privately. Spring interment will be held in Notre Dame de Lourdes Cemetery, Tide Head NB. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995).
Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or P.A.W.S Moncton.
