It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Michael Verreault on April 12, 2024 at his home in Moncton following a
period of declining health.
Born in Middleton, NS, Michael grew up in St-Eustache, QC,
then Moncton, NB, graduating from Moncton High School in
1975.
He was the son of John Verreault and the late Eleanor
(Allison) Verreault.
Besides his father, he is survived by his loving wife,
Jocelyne (Sivret), who provided love, support and devotion to Michael
in both sickness and health. He is also survived by three children:
Michelle (John), Suzanne, and Thomas (April); his grandchildren:
Brianna, Hailey, Joey, and Payne; as well as his sister Elayne,
nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Mike had a love for music that ranged from The Beatles to Led
Zeppelin, Jack White and The Rankins. He could also name any song or
band that played on the radio. He was into comics and magazines and
would frequent both the Comic Hunter and Reads Newsstand, his two
favorite places. He had a wealth of knowledge for history and
geography. He loved animals with his favorite being fish and
reptiles.
There will be no funeral service as per Michael’s request.
His ashes will be taken to Canmore, Alberta, for final rest in the
foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Funeral arrangements are in the
professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton
(506-858-1900).
