James “Jim” Steeves Obituary
James “Jim” Steeves, 51, of Canaan Station, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Born in Moncton, he is the son of Marion Steeves (nee Hicks) and the late Daniel Steeves.
Jim worked as an Ironworker, and was a proud member of Local 842. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed flyfishing and hunting.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Venessa Steeves; his sons, Logan Steeves and Evan Steeves; mother, Marion Steeves; sister, Lorna Steeves (Jason); niece Samantha (Nick) and her children, Mars and Arlo; nephews, Bailey and Aden; father-in-law, Roy Stroh (Gena); brother-in-law, Jamie Stroh; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to his father, Daniel; he was predeceased by brother, Daniel; mother-in-law, Charleen Stroh; and brother-in-law, Jeremy Royer.
A time to gather and share memories of Jim will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Interment will be held in Fisher Hill Cemetery.
In memory of Jim, memorial contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association or a memorial of choice would be appreciated. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
