Irishtown, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Cyr, 52, she passed at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Sunday, September 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and the late Pauline Cyr (Lebel).
Judy will be sadly missed by her husband: Stéphane Collin of Irishtown; her sister: Tracy Cyr of Irishtown; her loving dogs: Zöé and Bailey; also by her sweet cats: Daisy and Pipper.
Judy worked for the RCMP for 13 years as a Community Program Officer; 10 years for the Psychiatric Patient Advocate Services for the Province of NB; 10 years for the Moncton Youth Residences and she also worked as a social worker for SAGE Counselling Services in Moncton for many years. Judy loved to volunteer for the NB Special Olympics and got to travel around the world. Her hobbies were gardening, cross stitching, kayaking, and spending time at the cottage. Judy also loved animals.
She will be missed!
There will be no visitations. A private funeral chapel will be celebrated at a later date.
In memory of Judy, a donation can be made to NB LETR (Law Enforcement Torch Run), NB Special Olympics or to Moncton Tree of Hope.
