Edith Garner Obituary
Edith Garner, 100, lifelong resident of Riverview passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Doige) Budd. Edith was a longtime member of Gunningsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts, crafts and painting. She was a member of the Riverview Arts Society.
Edith is survived by her daughters, Gloria Scribner (late Frank) of Wheaton Settlement, Sandra Burtch (Floyd) of Kingston, ON, Linda Belliveau (Jean-Paul) of Riverview, Frances Steeves (Gary) of Hillsborough; sons, Royston Garner (late Marge) of Stoney Creek and Derek Garner of Saint John; 26 grandchildren; greater than 100 great and great great grandchildren also survived by special niece Olive Mercer. In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her husband Hubert “Bud” Garner, several brothers and sisters.
A Service to Celebrate and Honor Edith’s Life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB (506-858-1995) on Tuesday, July 23 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Blair Holden officiating. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
