Clairine Savoie, 88, resident of
the Villa du Repos in Moncton and formerly of Dundee and Dieppe,
passed away on Friday September 20, 2024 at the Villa du Repos. Born
in Saint-Maure, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and
Eugénie (Savoie) Melanson.
She is survived by four children: Francine Savoie of Dundee,
Mario (Charline) of Grand Barachois, Sylvie Savoie (Alain Boudreau) of
Campbellton, and Donald of Dieppe; one daughter-in-law, Lise Savoie of
Dieppe; seven grandchildren: Jérémie, Justin,
Daniel, Julien, Mathieu, Tiffany, and Vanessa; four
great-grandchildren: Noah, Félix, Jade, and Maxime; as well
as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Guy G. Savoie; one son,
Ghislain Savoie; two sisters: Oriéta Allard and Alida
LeBlanc; and one brother, Jean Melanson.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday
September 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. A funeral mass will be
celebrated at
Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus
church, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe on Tuesday September 24, at 11 am.
Interment will be in Dundee.
The family will receive also condolences at Maher’s
Funeral Home, 517 avenue des Pionniers, Balmoral (506-826-3847), on
Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm only.
In memory of Clairine, a contribution to the Parkinson
Canada, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, or the N.B. Heart
& Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
