In Loving Memory of Sheldon Raymond Dickson
1973-2024
Sheldon Dickson, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Miramichi, NB, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 50 years.
Sheldon was born on December 21, 1973, in Chatham, NB, where he was raised. He graduated from James M. Hill High School in 1991. He attended Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB.
Sheldon worked at Home Hardware in Grande Prairie, where he loved his job, co-workers, and customers. He had a great sense of humour and loved corny jokes and trivia. He was also a huge sports enthusiast, cheering for the Calgary Flames and Toronto Blue Jays.
Sheldon will be sadly missed by his daughter, Hanna Ray Dickson; brother, Scott Dickson; sister, Nancy (Malcolm) MacLennan; and niece, Emily MacLennan.
Sheldon was predeceased by his nephew, Bruce MacLennan; as well as his mother, Velna Dickson; and father, Raymond Dickson.
A Viewing was held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave.) in Grande Prairie, AB.
A public Graveside Service will be held in New Brunswick on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 6 PM in the Black River Community Cemetery with The Reverend David Allan as Officiant.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
