Mary Jane Ward of Eel Ground, passed away peacefully at Percy’s Place, on November 28th, 2024, at the age of 87.
Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of Joseph and Lena Simon. She spent her life raising her loving children and grandchildren and being a homemaker. She was a member of St Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church and also a member of the Eel Ground Health Centre Elders Group.
She will be greatly missed by daughters Doreen, Veronica (Jed), Sheila May (Ray); sons Miller, John (Nancy), Glen, and Jonathan, all of Eel Ground; grandchildren Harvey, Christopher, Robbie, Stacey, Tracy, Paula, Shelby, Sheldon, Chelsy, Brandon, Ryder, Blaze, and Sarah; great-grandchildren Erica, River, Kelsey, Keenan, Maria, Alicia, Dilan, Julian, Mitchell, Colton, Ryla, Declan, Jasper, Ellie, Addy, Leo, Avery and Westin; great-great-grandchildren Kylan, Kasher, Karter, William, Parker, and Evelyn.
Besides parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Thomas; daughter Valerie; son Gary; Sister Mary Margaret; brothers Steven, Noel, Clarence, and Isaac.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral home, on Monday, December 2, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 2 PM at St Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Percy’s Place in her memory.
