In Loving Memory of Margaret E. Murphy
1939 – 2024
Margaret Elizabeth Murphy of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 17, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born in Chatham, on April 2, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Eleanor (Sweezey) Williston. Beloved granddaughter of the late Janet and Benjamin Sweezey and she was like an older sister to her cousins Earle and Brenda.
Margaret was a retired School Teacher, having taught grade four for most of her career.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Murphy; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 1-2 PM followed by a funeral service at 2 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Greer officiating. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
