Ella Leger Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ella Lucy Leger (nee Bourgeois) on August 24, 2024 at the age of 92 years.
Born in College Bridge on March 25, 1932.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Alfred Leger and her parents Charles and Laura (LeBlanc) Bourgeois.
Beloved mother of Laura (Jim) Campbell, Ron (Sue), Gary (Laury), Perry (Rebecca), Keith (Rose) and Paula (Heather).
She also leaves to mourn her cherished grandchildren Jessica, Kristen, Bryan (Lauren), Nicole (Billy), Britany (Tommy), Samuel, Aaron, Shalom, Karl, Matthew and great- grandchildren Ella, Sophie, Victoria, Josephine, Jackson and Isla. Brother Thomas (late Rachel) and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Therese and brother-in law Raymond Landry, brother Eugene and sister-in-law Rita Bourgeois, grandson Jaron (Sarah), sisters-in-law Rita, Pauline, Alma, Corine, Lina and brothers-in-law Joseph, Arthur, Camille and Roger.
After marrying the love of her life, Paul, they bought their first and only home and began their new life together in Mimico (Toronto) Ontario. Their home always had an open door and welcomed everyone. Ella was not only the loving mother to her own children but also ran an in-home daycare as part of her life’s work. She took a special interest in each child, many of whom later brought their own children to Ella’s daycare.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Muthulingam and the staff at the Runnymede Healthcare Centre for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Friday September 20, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
