Joseph Patrick Hebert
1939-2024
Joseph Patrick Hebert, 85, of Shenstone, passed away
peacefully on September 29th, 2024 at the Dr. George L. Dumont
Hospital with his family by his side.
Joseph was born on March 4th, 1939 the son of the late
Joseph Sr. and Margaret Hebert.
Prior to retirement, Joseph owned his own business of
Brighter Window Cleaners. He was a small town man with a huge
heart. He met the love of his life, Marilyn in 1958 and
since then they did everything together. They worked hard to
provide for their children and grandchildren, often sacrificing their
wants and needs for the needs of their family without hesitation. Many
memories were made fishing, traveling, and sitting around singing as
they both shared a love for music. He was known for his songwriting
abilities, and he was well known by many by his stage name of Doc
Layne, producing his own music in his recording studio called MSM
Recording Studio. Another proud accomplishment of Joseph was a
children’s book that he had written based on the song he wrote in
1988, Christie the Christmas Tree, which was set to be published this
Christmas. He also had a love for animals especially his
dog, Rocky and cat, Molly who he took great care of. His
greatest blessings were his grandchildren and he was instrumental in
their upbringing and was their number one fan at any sporting event,
including many cold nights at the hockey rink. He would do
anything for them and was so proud of all their
accomplishments. He had a great sense of humour and has left
many funny stories behind. He wouldn’t want you to be sad
but remember all the good times shared. He has now
been reunited with his wife, Marilyn whom he missed so much after her
passing in 2021. Together they will be watching over their
family until the day everyone is reunited once again.
Dads and Grandads are
like no one else,
And you really were
the best,
And even though this
sadness aches,
It is time for you to
rest.
But I want you to
hear me,
Although you’re out
of sight,
I’ll use the lessons
that you taught,
Forever, my guiding
light.
He will be missed by his children, Debbie Hebert, Bonnie
Hebert, Dawn Hebert and Lincoln Hebert all of Oshawa, ON. He
will be deeply missed by his many grandchildren who held a special
place in his heart, especially Tasha and Deo; his great grandchildren,
Liam and Ellie and by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and
friends.
The family will be having a private graveside service in
the Shenstone Cemetery, Shenstone, NB at a later
date.
For those who wish donations to the PAWS( SPCA)
would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral
