Jack Arne Sorensen
1955-2023
Jack A. Sorensen, 68, of Hillsborough passed away
unexpectedly on September 25th, 2023 at the Moncton
Hospital. Jack was the son of the late Hans and Laura
(Hawkes) Sorensen.
Jack worked in the lumber mills around the area and last
worked as a Planner operator for Lakeburn lumber. He was a
jack of all trades and enjoyed tinkering in his garage.
He thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors and in nature where he
enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent a lot of
time in his garden and had chickens in his backyard. He went
camping and always had the go to trailer, he made the best campfires
where many stories were shared. He loved to barbecue and
made mouth watering meals. He was always on the move and
never stayed idle. If he wasn’t busy working on
something for himself he always had his honey-do list to help keep him
busy. Jack played guitar and enjoyed singing. He
listened to music continuously while in his garage.
He had a passion for antique cars and he even managed to have his
dream car the Mustang, in fact he had two, a 1966 and a 1984 which
were his babies. He had a special place in his heart for
animals and especially for his latest pup Cooper and cat
Bobbi.
Jack’s main priority in life was making sure his wife, kids
and grandchildren had everything they needed or wanted. His
famous saying to all who knew him was “Yes Dear”
and he was sincere when saying it. His grandchildren meant
the world to him and he was there for them whatever the case may
be.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Shari; daughters,
Trudi Masters (Mike) of Hillsborough and Jordon Sorensen (Andrew Roy)
of Moncton; treasured grandchildren, Tanner, Piper, Serenity,
Christopher, Dawson and Chase; sisters, Bernadette Carter (Bill) of
Riverview and Nancy Albert (Greg) of Riverview; special aunt Barb
Richard of Riverview. He will also be missed by Holly
Decoste (mother of Dawson and Chase) and by his nieces, nephews,
extended family and close friends.
Honouring Jack’s own wishes the family will be having a
private memorial service.
For those who wish donations to the NB Heart &
Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated.
