Trudy Lynn Robicheau passed away peacefully in her sleep and went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the young age of 63. Trudy was born to the late Stella (Harvey) Robicheau and Richard Robicheau on May 31, 1960 in Fredericton, NB.
Trudy leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Jody Lavigne (Mike Neill), Todd Lavigne (Stephanie Aubie), Misty Lavigne-Moores (Travis Moores); father of her children, James “Kite” Lavigne (Sue Frost); four grandchildren, Ethan Waugh, Kaden Aubie, Brooke Waugh and Jayme Wright; brother, Joey Robicheau; niece, Breannah Stella King; step-brother, Rick Harvey; many aunts and uncles, and her three cat fur babies.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant brother, Patrick Robicheau.
Trudy (AKA Stormy, Meister) worked as a Clerk for the Fredericton City Police for a combined 30 years (retiring once in between). She was also known as the candy lady at the station. Her faith in God is what kept her strong and kept her going during her courageous battle with cancer. After Trudy’s diagnosis, she loved and continued living life to the fullest. Neither hard times nor cancer would rob her of who she was and her faith in God.
Trudy had a heart of gold, where she would give her time unselfishly to help anyone who needed a hand and ensure no one went without. Her goal was to make at least one person laugh each day. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Let’s not think of her journey as being over, as her new journey has just begun. She’s finally got some new air in her tires.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Sunny Bank Cemetery. Remembrances can be made to Hospice House Fredericton and would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through the online guestbook at www.yorkfh.com
God’s Garden
God looked around His garden
and found an empty place
He then looked upon the earth
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace by thine”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
