Obituary of Melvin Joseph Perry
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Melvin Joseph Perry who died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, October 16th, 2023. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Marjorie (Gibbons) Perry and the loving husband of Velvet Perry.
He is survived by his loving soul mate, Velvet; stepchildren, Larry McKiel of Maugerville and Charmain Case (Corey) of Sault Saint Marie, Ontario; grandchildren, Liam, Logan, Landen, Lawrence, Joshua, Jacob, Johnathan and Kana; one brother, Tommy (Mary) of Belldune, NB; three sisters, Donna Boucher (Roger Johnson) Margaret Madore (Joey) both of Minto, and Theresa Barton (Danny) of Fredericton.
Melvin was a kind hearted individual; he loved family friends and especially spending time reminiscing about old times. He loved music, singing and sometimes writing songs. He had the unique ability to play anything he picked up, and with a grin he would say sure I can play that.
Visitation will be held at the family’s home on 443 Rte 105 Hwy., Maugerville, NB, on Wednesday, October 18. The funeral service will be held at The Drive Baptist Church on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1 pm, Rev. Gordon Cook will officiate. Interment will be in the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Greenwood Drive Baptist Church Food and Clothing.
