LYNN IRENE (NEVERS) BRUCE
1947 – 2024
The Bruce family is sad to announce that after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Lynn passed away peacefully at the York Care Centre on January 9th, 2024.
Lynn was born in Fredericton, NB on July 24th, 1947, the daughter of the late Bryant and Irene (Barton) Nevers. She married her husband Ronald Bruce on September 23, 1967 and spent the majority of her adult life travelling the world as a proud military spouse, raising her two children, and excelling at the challenges such a life presents.
Lynn enjoyed many interests and was highly creative and community focused. She had a love for reading, painting, ceramics and gardening. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her husband, Ron and her two sons Craig and Christopher.
The family would like to thank the York Care Centre staff and management, specifically those on Tower 2 for their kindness and support during Lynn’s stay.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes there will be no service or visitation, instead there will be a private grave-side service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.
Personal condolences may be offered at www.yorkfh.com
