The passing of Janice Louise Douglass of Taymouth, NB, occurred on January 1, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 6, 1968 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Shirley (Peterson) Douglass and the late John R. Douglass.
Janice is survived by sons, John E.B. Douglass (Courtney Stokes) and Jamie Polchies; granddaughter, Helena; siblings, Melanie Douglass Bianchi (Tony), and Amanda Douglass (Joel Benedict); special cousins, Chris McAllister (Jeanie) and Nikki Layton (Pat); and numerous other cousins.
Janice had a passion for nature, she loved gardening, watching the birds, and listening to 80’s rock music. She will be missed by the wildlife she fed daily especially the crows.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 12-2 pm. The funeral service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2 pm with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will take place in the Taymouth Community Cemetery, Taymouth, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Carleton County Animal Shelter or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
