Joslin-Ackerson, Janet May
The passing of Janet May Joslin-Ackerson of Maugerville, NB, wife of Larry Ackerson, occurred on October 22, 2023 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on November 26, 1951 in Barony, NB, she was the daughter of the late Laura (Rosborough) and Irvine Joslin. Janet retired after a long career with the Province of New Brunswick. She loved spending her winters in Florida with Larry and spending time with her friends.
In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by her brother, Lloyd Joslin (Donna); niece, Tammy Lamey (Bill); nephew, Jeremy Joslin, step-children, Wendy Sanford (Dan), Neil Emberley (Chris), and Dwight Emberley; 3 great nieces, Laura, Kaylie and Jackie Lamey; special cousins.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses and staff at 4 NE and Hospice Fredericton.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 75 Main Street, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Salvation Army or Hospice Fredericton. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
