The passing of Darrel Albert Green husband of Bernice (Colford) Green of Stanley, NB, occurred on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Nashwaak Villa in Stanley . Born on January 18, 1951 in Stanley , NB , he was the son of the late Harold and Edna (Wharton) Green. Darrel was a heavy equipment mechanic but those who knew him, knew he could fix just about anything. He was a volunteer firefighter in Stanley for over 20 years, loved his antique cars & engines and taking those cars to shows. Darrel was also very active over the years, sitting on committees for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, Darrel is survived by his son, Adam Green (Helen); siblings, Skinny Green (Sharon), Diane Green (Roy), Cathy VanHorn (Gary), Mary Green, Monnah Green; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Norval Green, David Green, Eleanor Condren and Judy Waugh.
Visitation will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Stanley on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 1 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery , Stanley at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery .
