Brian Maurice MacFarlane
1955-2023
Following a period of ill health, Brian passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, at the DECH. He was born to the late Emma (Ritchie) and Maurice MacFarlane on July 6, 1955.
In addition to being a very gifted woodworker, Brian was an avid gardener, very interested in experimenting with unusual flowers and veggies. He preserved much of what he grew often utilizing propane burners in the back patio so not to heat the house too much. He was constantly collecting and trying new recipes with great success. Brian retired from his woodworking shop at CFB Gagetown in 2014 after 30 years of service.
Brian is survived by his sister Corinne, nephew Const. Tim MacFarlane, niece Dustyn Miller (Alex) and grand nephew Noah Miller as well as many cousins and friends.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a visitation on Tuesday, December 19, from 6 to 8 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive , Fredericton , NB. For those who wish, remembrance can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
May you rest in peace, Brian Mac
