Obituary of Ann Marie Horsnell
The family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Ann Marie Horsnell at the Oromocto Public Hospital on November 19, 2024. Ann was born on March 13, 1936 in Marysville, New Brunswick to the late Harold and Eda (Watkins) Jamieson.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, John; children, Michael (Mary Lou) and Sandra; grandchildren, Jennifer (David), Jason (Rebecca), Christopher, Alex, and Heather; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayleigh, Alyssa, and Ben, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Ann was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her son, Derek; son-in-law, James Matthews;and siblings, Richard, Eda, Pearl, and Faith.
Ann worked for many years at City Spring Service Ltd alongside her husband, John. While John owned the business, she owned and controlled the office. True entrepreneurs, they also owned rental apartments around the city.
In their younger years they loved to travel in their 5th wheel trailer. They explored Canada as well as various places throughout the United States. Both enjoyed winter time in Florida. One of their favourite memories was visiting Wales and England. Ann’s mother was from Wales while John’s parents were from England.
While travelling was an important part of their lives, Ann especially loved her home at Lake George – special memories were made there with her children, grandchildren and especially her adored great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the Oromocto Public Hospital for their kindness and caring overt the last few months.
The family will receive the public at a visitation at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Anne’s Chapel of Ease on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the IWK or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
