The passing of Allan Eugene Munn, husband of the late Lottie Munn of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Shannex Neill Hall in Fredericton. Born on November 10, 1946 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Eugene and Ruth (MacMillan) Munn. Allan worked for CNR and Sunbury Transport. He was very proud to be a locomotive engineer and often talked about the old CN days. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed staying at the trailer at Oceanfront campground in St. Andrews where he and Lottie made many friends. They loved their little dog Ozzie and used to take him everywhere they went. Allan was very proud of his children and grandchildren and spoke of them often.
Allan is survived by his daughter, Shelley Baxter (Barry) of Wickham; son, Jeff Munn (Sheri) of Riverview and grandchildren, Garrett Baxter (Julie) and Blake Baxter; sister, Anne Sherrard (Larry); several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, Allan was predeceased by his brother, Irvine Munn; special cousin, Robert Kerton; and his first wife, Anne Munn.
A special thank you to the staff at Shannex Neill Hall for their friendship and care during the last year. They referred to him as ‘a fan favourite’ at the home and he will be dearly missed.
A Graveside Service will take place in Hillcrest United Cemetery, Stanley on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at 1pm with Rev. Chris Walker officiating.
