1927-2024
Dorothy Mae Smith Maskell passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024,
at the River View Manor in Bath. She was born November 14, 1927, and
was the daughter of the late Alexander and Violet Beattie. She was
also predeceased by her husband, Floyd Maskell; siblings, Annabelle
Smith (Earl), Violet Lovely (Larry), Victor “Pete” Beattie
and Malcolm Beattie (Ester).
Dorothy is survived by her children, Graydon Drier (Ferne Chase),
Alexander Drier, Bruce Maskell (Sherry), Pam Maskell (Ron Foster),
Gregory Maskell (Kimberly); grandchildren, Sarah Foster (Anthony), Tim
Maskell (Marielle), Carrie Smith (Jamie), Christie Kilcollins, Corey
Johnston (Natalie Heaney), Brandon Maskell, Jessie Maskell (Brooke),
Logan Maskell (Jessica); great grandchildren, Mariah Foster, Benjamin
Foster, Chloe Foster, Ava Maskell, Lila Maskell, Claire Smith, Reid
Smith, Faith Kilcollins, Noah Kilcollins, Sage Kilcollins, Sawyer
Maskell, Ollie Maskell; great great grandchildren, Zane and Maylee;
sister Connie Lawrence (Leslie), sister-in-law, Barbara Beattie,
nieces and nephews.
There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after
they are gone the light remains. She did this through the love of
music, laughter, friends and family.
Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Road, Florenceville Bristol on Thursday, September 26, 2024,
from noon to 2:00 p.m. The funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m. with
Pastor Dan Ryan officiating. The interment will be in the Beechwood
Baptist Church Cemetery. If so desired, donations can be made to the
