Clarence J. Doherty
1941-2024
The death of Clarence Joseph Doherty occurred on Thursday, April 11,
2024 at Carleton Manor, Woodstock. Clarence was born March 29, 1941 in
West Glassville and was the son of the late Albert and Kathleen
(Seymour) Doherty. He was also predeceased by his brother, Claude
Doherty, his sister, Shirley Norris and brother in law, Eldon
Manuel.
Clarence loved the outdoors and operated heavy equipment in the
Logging Industry, he was an expert operator.
Clarence’s family would like to thank Emily and Greg Swim who
cared for Clarence from 2016 – 2022 in their special care home,
also to the nurses and staff at Carleton Manor, Woodstock who went
above and beyond to provide care during Clarence’s final
days.
Clarence is survived by his 2 children, Rhonda Pelkey (Jeffrey) and
Troy Doherty; 3 grandchildren, Chad DeLong, Adam DeLong (Krystle) and
Breanna DeLong; 2 great grandchildren, Hazen and Grady DeLong; 1
sister, Peggy Manuel; 1 sister in law, Vera Doherty as well as several
nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 5:00 pm
in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Esdraelon. For those who wish donations
made to Forest Hill Cemetery or Carleton Manor would be appreciated.
