It is with profound sadness that the family of Ray Lawson Murray announces his passing on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Ray was born on June 3, 1935, in Chipman, NB, to John and Velma (Jardine) Murray. Ray called Chipman (Upper Salmon Creek) home for his entire life and it brought him many great blessings such as a steady job, good friends and most importantly the opportunity to meet the love of his life, Myrna.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, John and Velma, his son, Dwayne and his sisters, Marie, Geneiva, Lena and Mavis.
Ray is survived by his wife Myrna, who he was a devoted and loving husband to for 62 wonderful years. He is also survived by his brother-in-law David (Doreen), his sister-in-law Linda and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Ray made to the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated by the family.
