It is with great sadness that the family of Johann Anton Grimm of Burton, NB, announce his passing on Sunday August 17, 2024. He was 79 years old.
Johann was born in Vienna Austria in October 13, 1944. He was the son of the late Margarethe Grimm.
Because of work, Johann moved to Canada in 1972 with his wife, Else and boys, Hans and Gerold. In 1976 they welcomed their baby girl, Michaela.
In December 1974 he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His self-sacrificing spirit moved him to give his all to his God Jehovah. Johann served as a full time minister, Elder and worked tirelessly on the Hospital Liaison Committee for over 20 years. His faith had an impact on many lives, not only in his congregation, but also in his community. He was known to stop and talk to anyone he knew or thought he knew. He was known to give many, many funeral talks because of his love of people. One thing he stressed the most to the surviving family during these talks was the resurrection hope in the earthly paradise and that they would see their dear loved one again. Now, we are all looking forward to seeing him in that paradise.
Johann is survived by his beautiful wife Else (Schachl); Sons Hans and Gerold (Stacey), Daughter Michaela Reimer (Chris) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a sister Evelyne Anderl and Brother Leopold Anderl.
A memorial talk will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (16 Doyle Dr. Oromocto, NB E2V 0B4) on September 7, 2024 at 2:00 pm. A Zoom link is available for those who are unable to attend in person. For Zoom information, please contact Carl at 506-461-7843.
