David Clair Corbin, husband of Patricia (MacDonald) of Sus Corner, NB, passed away October 5, 2023. He was born January 8, 1949 in Bath, NB, the son of the late Oran and Irene (Parsons) Corbin. Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by their daughters – Andrea (Scott) MacDonald of Goose Bay, Labrador; Jennifer Corbin, Havelock, NB; his grandchildren, Weslee and Caley-Anne MacDonald, Adelynn Green and Miranda Killam; sister Susan Corey (Jim); brother-in-law Jean (late Lillian) Romard; brother-in-law, Dale MacDonald (Ellen) and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Daniel Corbin and sister, Lillian Romard.
David graduated from Centerville Regional High School in 1967; and, in 1972, he graduated with a BSc Forestry, UNB, Fredericton, NB.
Dave worked in the Forest industry all his life and owned and operated Dave Corbin & Girls Christmas Tree Farms in Centerville, NB. He started his career in Chapleau, Ontario; and, upon returning to New Brunswick, he worked 22 years as Forest Engineer and Manager for Fraser Companies in both Plaster Rock and Edmundston. After moving to Sus Corner, he worked as Manager for Southern NB Wood Co-op and Marketing Board.
During retirement, he worked for an explosive company for a few years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and building lawn furniture.
Following his wishes, there will not be any services.
