Harold Leslie Slipp
With heavy hearts the family of Harold Leslie Slipp of Fredericton Junction, NB announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 26, 2024. Harold was born July 28, 1946 in Fredericton, NB to the late Edna May (Duplisea) and Pennell Luther Slipp. He was the loving husband of the late Sharon (Brawn) Slipp.
Harold will be missed by his two children: Alisha (Derek) Melanson and Seth Slipp: three sisters: Ruth (George) Burtt, Donna Slipp, Wendy (Matt) Harris, two brothers: Ronald (Janie) Slipp and Duane (Sherry) Slipp: four grandchildren: Ella, Henry, Eli and Harold: as well as many nieces and nephews.
Harold had a career with Dept of Transportation, Bridge Crew Supervisor. He always referred to himself as a woodsman, loving the woods, hunting, fishing and trapping. Also, He was known as Champion Canoe Racer. His passion was cutting wood Whether it was for market or firewood, for himself or others. He would love to go for a walk in the wood to “crose it”. Harold was a member of the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church where he held position of Trustee for many years. His favorite place to be was at the camp on the Piskaheagan.
Along with Harold’s wife and parents, he is also predeceased by grandson Marty Slipp.
Family and friends are invited to Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church for Visitations on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church on Thursday October 10, 2024 at 1pm with Pastor Maurice Hatfield officiating.
Donations, if you wish may be made to either Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church or Tracy United Baptist Church Cemetery.
