Ernest Caissie
1936-2024
Ernest Caissie, 88, of Résidence Au Benaise, Saint-Antoine and
formerly of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, at the
Residence on Sunday September 22, 2024. He was married to Carmella
(Richard) Caissie. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, he was the son of the
late Gonzague and the late Imelda (Gallant) Caissie.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Carmella, his daughter; Joanne
Caissie (Ronald) of Dieppe and one grandson; Jerrid. He also leaves
to mourn his sister; Germaine Goguen of Maynard, MA and one brother;
Emery (Jeannine) of Fitchburg, MA and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son; Fernand, four sisters; Gisèle,
Olia, Stella, Carmella and eight brothers; Valmond, Léo,
Clarence, Roméo, Joe, Blaire, Omer and Gil.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic
Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday September 25,
2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. A funeral
Mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Church on Wednesday
September 25, 2024 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Ernest’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation.
