Vaughan Joseph Christopher, originally of Campbellton, NB and a resident of Bathurst since 2000 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday November 19th at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, at the age of 85 after a battle with cancer.
Vaughan was born in Campbellton, NB to Barcley and Veronica Christopher whose families hailed from the Miramichi.
Vaughan was a valued member of the community in his service as the financial director of the Campbellton School district and eventually the amalgamated areas of Dalhousie and Bathurst. He was a contributing member to the Campbellton Rotary Club and hospital board. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and son, the Campbellton Tigers and Bathurst Titans games.
Upon his retirement Vaughan moved to Bathurst. Vaughan was the devoted husband to Del Christopher of Bathurst. He is survived by his two children: Mark (& Caroline) Christopher Chattanooga TN., Kimberley (& Brent) Golding of Hampton NB. He was a proud grandfather to Julia and Alison Golding of Hampton NB.
He was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Ann Beals.
In honor of his wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation.
