It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Kenneth Hachey husband of Thérèse (Dugas) Hachey which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Thursday August 22, 2024, at the age of 97.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son to the late Lawrence Hachey and the late Helene (Doucet) Hachey.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his children: Bernard Hachey (Sylvia Leonardo) of Montreal, Charles Hachey (Denise) of Bathurst, Donna Hachey (late Marcel Lajoie) of Lake Caron, Donald Hachey of Mexico and Claude Hachey (Lucia) of Dunlop.
8 Grandchildren: Jason, Eric, Melanie, Amanda, Brittany, Kayla, Jennifer and Vanessa.
8 Great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings: Gloria, Vera, Guy, Louis and Joyce.
The family wish to extend their gratitude to Dr. Marie-Andrée Arsenault, the staff in the palliative care unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, and to the staff of the Residence Prestige who always made him feel special, especially Joëlle, Pauline and Amy.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Church, Bathurst, on Monday August 26, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
