It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Irene Vienneau, loving wife of Gérard Vienneau which occurred on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late George and Imelda (Godin) Legacy.
Besides her husband of Beresford, she is survived by her two daughters: Marlene Vienneau (Bill Boyd) of Beresford and Charlene Vienneau (Anthony Duguay) of Big River.
Three Grandchildren: Jessie Vienneau, Cory Lavigne and Jamie Lavigne
One brother: Eldon (Louisa) of Bathurst and two sisters: Marguerite Duguay and Patricia Hébert both of Bathurst as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Marie, Evangeline, Wilbert and John.
She loved to bake and sharing her baked goods with her dialysis family and the people surrounding her. She touched the heart of everyone that knew her. She will be sadly missed by many.
A special thank you to her home caretaker whom she called her angel (Rachelle Bertin), Dr J.P. Arseneau, Dre Robichaud, Dr Gagnon, Dr Hickey, the entire dialysis staff, personal care workers, porters and security staff.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 10a.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
