DEBBIE LYNN SUSKI
(Nee McDonald)
On Saturday, August 17, 2024, we lost the most amazing wife, mother, gramma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Debbie passed away suddenly at home at the age of 62, with her husband by her side. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Debbie was born on January 2, 1962, to Wesley and Betty Ann McDonald (nee Clemmensen), followed later that year by her only brother, Wesley Boyd (Brenda Lamb). She married her current husband, Darren James Suski, in their Winnipeg home on March 14, 1992.
Debbie has four children: Darcy Charles Gosman (Natalie Sabourin), Stacy Lynn Gosman (Rejean Lafond), Cory Wesley Gosman, and Morgan James Suski (Emma Jack). Her eldest son Darcy and his wife Natalie also blessed Debbie with three incredible grandchildren, whom Debbie adored: Bentley Charles, Sophia Rose, and Eli Wesley.
Family meant everything to Debbie. She loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her favorite pastime was spoiling them with gifts and Timbits. She remembered everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Throughout her life, she welcomed many pets into her home and fawned over her many grand fur-babies. She was always happy to share a story or a picture of her family’s adventures whenever anyone asked.
Debbie also loved taking spontaneous road trips, exploring Manitoba with Darren, her sidekick Willow in tow. They enjoyed travelling the backroads, often ending up at a town fair or driving to another town just to enjoy a meal at their favorite restaurants.
When she wasn’t spending time with her family, she was connecting with her many friends in person or online. Debbie made friends everywhere she went and was a “work mom” to many of her co-workers. She was selfless and took great pleasure in the many connections she made throughout her lifetime.
Debbie will be cremated and laid to rest at the family plot in the Ninette cemetery. A service will be scheduled at a later date, with details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you go on a Tim’s run with your friends and loved ones in honor of Debbie. Should you wish, we welcome you to make a donation in Debbie’s memory to Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue, Cancer Care Manitoba, or any other charity of your choice.
