ALAIN DESHARNAIS
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Alain Desharnais on June 8, 2024 at the De Salaberry District Health Centre, in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB., at the age of 58 years.
Alain is survived by his Mom, Lucille Girouard and Step-father, Luc; siblings, Claudette (Doug Baldwin), Hélène (René Lacasse), Suzanne, Daniel (Maureen Galloway), Rachel (Maurice Cahill), Luc, and step-mother Gertrude Hamonic. He was predeceased by his father, Henri, sister, Monique Wally, and brother-in-law, Doug Low.
Alain came into our lives by adoption when he was six months old. Having grown up on the family farm, Alain soon developed a love for farming and anything that had to do with farming! He was happiest driving a tractor, combine or grain truck, as well as repairing and maintaining farm machinery.
Alain had struggles with his life and health, but he also had several very kind, patient, and compassionate people helping him along the way. Other than his mom, who was always there for him, we also want to acknowledge and thank Ruth Loeppky for the special care and attention she gave Alain the last few years.
In keeping with Alain’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sugar Shack, 434 rue Sabourin, St. Pierre-Jolys, MB.
