Peacefully on October 8, 2023, James Turnbull passed away with family by his side.
He leaves to mourn his mother Kathryn, brother Bob (Roxanne), sisters Kathy, Barb (Colin), children Randi (Kerry), Edward (Carrie), and Lawrence (Wendy), grandchildren Caleb, Ivy, Edward, Damien, Dominic, and Cheyenne as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

James was born on May 5, 1954 in Russell, Manitoba. James worked the majority of his life for CP rail as a Roadmaster in which he loved, and loved to share stories to anyone who would listen.
In his later years, he enjoyed watching TV, listening to music from some of his favourites Elvis, Michael Jackson, and AC DC, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and enjoyed the company of his grandkids who were his pride and joy.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Doctor Prematilake and all the nurses at Selkirk Regional Health Centre for all their care and compassion shown to James.
In keeping with James wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be at a later date.
“It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later Dad.”
