Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Friday, December 20, 2024, the death occurred of Ellen Jane Pierce. Born on February 2, 1935, Jane lived in Souris, Watertown, Massachusetts, and Charlottetown, PEI.
She will be missed by her siblings Margaret Bergeron (George), Alena Chaisson (Gerry; deceased), Joseph Pierce (Sheila) and Robert (Shirley). In addition, she is survived by numerous Pierce, Edkins, and Bergeron nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Predeceased by Emmet and Mary Pierce (her parents), Bill and Lynn Pierce, Tom and Fran Pierce, Vivien, and Bill Edkins (siblings and spouses), and relatives David Edkins and Cole Bergeron.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place for family only. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00am with interment to follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Ellen can be made to the Souris Food Bank or the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital).
