The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside,
on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, following a brief illness, with her
loving family by her side, of Dolly Blanche Adams, beloved wife of
Everett C. Adams of Elmsdale, age 87 years. Born at Alberton on March
12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Myrtle (nee)
Cannon Smith.
Loving and caring mother to Darrell (Pauline) Adams, of
Charlottetown, Randy (Janice) Adams, of O’Leary, Wade (deceased),
Heather Joy (Romey) Fraser, of Alberton, Holly (Alfred) Culleton, of
Elmsdale, and Trudy Adams, of O’Leary. Dolly will be sadly missed by
her 19 grandchildren and by her 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to
Marion (Donald) Williams, of Halifax, and Bonita (Gerry) Doucette, of
Toronto. Dolly is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law,
her nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings, George, Al, Winston,
Joyce, Florence, and Alice. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and
Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday evening from 6:00 to
8:00 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday afternoon, February 3rd, from
the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, Alberton, at 2:00 p.m., Pastor
Betty Zita officiating. Interment later to take place in the Elmsdale
Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy memorials in Dolly’s memory,
made to the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene or to the Church of the
Nazarene Cemetery Fund, would be gratefully appreciated.
