Howard E. Cadinha, unexpectedly passed away on June 20, 2024 at Peace Arch Hospital in South Surrey, BC at the age of 89. Howard was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 7, 1935. He attended St Louis College High School and graduated from the University of Hawaii. Howard was a CPA and had an illustrious career as a corporate executive for a multinational company that eventually brought the family to Canada.
Howard and his wife Arlene were married for 65 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Arlene (Beloberk) Cadinha, parents Alfred and Julia (Nascimento) Cadinha, his sisters Blanche Garcia and Betty Medieros and his two brothers, Alfred “Sonny” and Robert “Bob” Cadinha. Surviving, are the 4 beloved children of Howard and Arlene, Lisa Cadinha, Lori McFarlane, Howard (Janet) Cadinha Jr and Mark (Leah) Cadinha. Also, his two brothers Stanley and Emmett (Mildred) Cadinha. Howard and Arlene have 6 grandchildren Matthew McFarlane, Ian (Miranda) McFarlane, Kayla McFarlane, Samuel Cadinha, Benjamin Cadinha and Sara Cadinha and one great-granddaughter, Holland.
Celebration of life will be held at Morgan Creek Golf Club in South Surrey, BC on July 31, 2024. Howard greatly supported the local food bank all his life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in the name of Howard Cadinha to the Surrey Food Society at surreyfoodbank.org.
