December 4th, 1919 – June 20th, 2024
With great sadness the family of Ellen Brown announces her passing on the morning of June 20th, 2024, at the age of 104 1/2. Predeceased by her loving husband, Grant (Red) Brown. Ellen is survived by her son Ted (Sandra), daughter Barbara, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Ellen had a green thumb; loved her flower garden and all the birds, except the crows. She alway had a full hummingbird feeder, bird feeder and the bird bath, on her deck.
She was a great seamstress. Quilting was a passion of hers. Ellen was always making or mending for family and friends. She was always donating to charity her quilts, placemats or other projects, or giving to any one that said they liked it. Giving was her way of life.
The cookie jar was alway full, ready for company, served with a cup to tea. A crib board was always on the table waiting for a game, which she rarely lost. In later years, she would walk to the seniors centre twice a week to play crib.
She and Red had many years of fun, square dancing. They met so many life long friends. They traveled all over the world with their friends. There were always tales of all the shenanigans they got up to. They had so much fun and laughter.
A good long life, well lived
