It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Renee. She passed away suddenly at home as a result of an on-going illness.
She is survived by her husband David McClure, brother Trent Wilkins, Uncle Francis Glynn, (Annette), Aunt Audrey Glynn, Marilyn Rougier (who was like a second mom) along with numerous cousins and their families.
Renee grew up in Victoria, moving to Vancouver in the early 80’s where she met and married her husband, David McClure. Together they created a beautiful life in their Boundary Bay Cottage, where family and friends were always welcome. She built a successful career with Investors Group, providing wealth management to her many clients until her retirement.
Renee was an accomplished artist whose creative passions were expressed through her love of watercolour painting, calligraphy, cooking, gardening, singing in the local choir, dancing and playing her baby grand piano for everyone’s enjoyment. Her love of travel took her to many places around the world. She loved swimming in the ocean and taking long beach walks with Rebus, the family Cairn Terrier.
Renee’s devotion to making holistic lifestyle choices to nourish her mind, body and soul were an inspiration.
Rest in peace, Renee. You will remain forever in our hearts, dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Society.
